Its common knowledge to make big profits quickly you need to buy and sell products, the best way to do this is to purchase products much cheaper than you would normally buy them, the only way of doing this, is purchasing direct from the manufacture or buying wholesale i.e. buying new products normally in bulk to resell.
Is it legal?
Of course, Yes 100% as long as you are over 18 and a British resident (other countries vary).
Be careful if your holding lots of items within your student accommodation.
Lets get down to business
Step 1
You obviously need some products to sell, you now have two options, purchase bulk groups of items from eBay / eBid OR buy from a reputable wholesale company.
This is crucial. Buying from a reputable wholesale company will give you products that your customers will not have already seen on eBay etc.
Now to find a reputable wholesale company you will need to search for one, I personally recommend using Wholesale Pages, now they do charge for their services, but from experience they offer the best service for your money, with over 35,000 wholesale companies, with products from iPhones to T-Shirts.
Step 2
Once you have signed up to Wholesale Pages you will need to search for products to buy and sell, now you need to do some research at this point, choosing the wrong product could leave you with a box full of unwanted items.
Any item you are thinking of purchasing you need to cross reference with eBay or eBid to see if anyone is currently selling the item and if so at what cost, you might be able to undercut someone but ideally you want to find a product that you think people will want to purchase but currently there is very limited or low products.
You should now purchase some products ideally more than 5 items, ensuring that the price you pay gives you enough money to make a tidy profit
Step 3
Select a selling platform, eBay is the most well known however they do have some hidden fees or so you can sign up to an alternative eBid.
Step 4
Adding your listing to eBay or eBid.
It is extremly important to have a specific title to draw in customers. For example don’t put, “Calvin Klien Boxers” change it to, “Calvin Klien Boxer Shorts Underwear Clothing” It’s important to draw people in with your title so make it catchy.
Choose your category for listing carefully. eBay / eBid users often browse categories so make sure you put your listing in the correct category!
Use a picture. Pictures help sell products sell MUCH better. If you don’t have a camera, go and borrow one. Make sure the lighting is right and you have a decent background.
Please compare the below image, which one would you rather click?

List your details of the products with keywords. Think of the keywords that people will search for to buy your product and use them in your description. Make sure you describe your product well and don’t lie about anything.
Work out a minimum buy price. What’s the least you want to sell this for? Put this in your listing. Don’t bother with reserve prices unless you are selling a massively expensive item.
Make sure your listing ends on a Sunday afternoon. This is when most people can easily access a computer and make last minute bids to pump your price up.
You must accept paypal, or if using eBid both Paypal and Google Checkout. Practically everyone on eBay uses Paypal to pay. It’s easy to use and very practical.
Step 5
Send out your item quickly. People expect things quickly. Try and send the item out the same or next day you get payment. We highly recommend Parcel2ship for any delivery of items.
Step 6
Thank the person who buys your item. This will help to get positive feedback. Essential for your next sale.
Count your total profit and start back at step 2.
